Our COVID 19 preparations and operations

Palantir Computers is an essential business in Ontario, and as such will remain open for business to serve you.
 
We have made many changes to protect our customers and our staff during this difficult period.
 
We have closed our showroom for the time being.  Up to THREE customers will be allowed in to the receiving area to bring in service work and pickup items. Please wait outside the door if there are already three people ahead of you in the shop.
 
It would be best if you could call ahead and make an appointment for all in-store needs.  This includes service work and purchases of needed equipment.  We are happy to help you over the phone if posslble - please call in advance of coming in.  Appointments will help us to handle physical distancing requirements best.
 
We are wiping down surfaces in our shop, including door handles, phones, counters and demonstration equipment on a regular and frequent basis.  Hand sanitizer and kleenex are available at our front counter.  When you bring in equipment to the shop, it will be wiped down with a sanitizing solution.

We would ask respectfully that customers attending our shop self-regulate:  if you are unwell, or have recently been ill, please send someone else in your place.  Phone for assistance with problems before coming in - we may be able to sort you out over the phone and are happy to do so.

If you require onsite service, we will be screening all requests effective immediately.  The questions you will be asked are:

1. Do you or anyone in your household have new/worse cough or shortness of breath?

2. Are you feeling feverish, or have you had shakes or chills in the last 24 hours (>38 degrees Celsius)?

3. Have you traveled in the last 14 days to Iran or Hubei province, China (including Wuhan) OR anywhere in China, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, France, Germany or Spain?

4. Have you had close contact with a confirmed or probable case of someone with novel coronavirus (COVID-19)?
5. Have you had close contact with a person with acute respiratory illness who has been to Iran or Hubei province, China (including Wuhan) OR anywhere in China, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, France, Germany or Spain within 14 days prior to their illness onset?

Your answers to these questions will allow us to determine any risks and ensure that  you and our technician remain healthy.  Please do not take offense if the technician arrives masked and gloved.

Unfortunately, anyone refusing to answer these questions will not receive a service call.
